Publisher facing Marketing Manager - Job No. 2163

The Marketing department is looking for a customer-focused self-starter to serve as an integral member of the marketing team. We're a collaborative, roll-up-the-sleeves department who values teamwork, great ideas, and fun. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you'll help develop and implement marketing ideas to highlight their innovation, spotlight return on our clients' ad technology investments, and help craft the publisher-facing messaging that will resonate throughout the entire online advertising industry. This position offers executive contact, ownership of key projects and growth opportunities in a high-performance organization. Candidate must have a strong professional outlook and interpersonal skills to interface with multiple departments in order to effectively contribute to reaching team and company goals. This includes on-going project management with Sales, Product Management, Creative, and Financial teams. Candidate must have the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. You should also have experience in and a passion for the online advertising industry.

The Product Marketing Manager will help lead the following initiatives:

1. Manage day-to-day marketing responsibilities for the publisher-facing product group.
2. Launching of new online advertising features and products.
3. Understand the bird's-eye and the ground-level view of the competition, and be acutely aware of emerging trends in the online advertising and publishing space.
4. Managing company’s participation in publisher-oriented events and trade shows.
5. Liaise with the online publishing world; attending events, shows and seminars.

Success will be measured by meeting annual performance goals tied to the company's strategic plan, successful completion of initiatives, and gaining credibility within the organization.

A successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

- Bachelors degree required, master's a plus
- Must have 5+ years B2B marketing experience, including product marketing experience
- Must have publisher-facing experience, either working for an online publisher or for a company that sells technology products to online publishers
- Must have strong writing and oral communication skills
- Must have strong project management skills
- Experience managing to a budget
- Experience launching marketing/communications efforts in both the offline and online mediums
- Must have ability to effectively interface with senior-level executives
- Must have ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Understanding of the advertising agency business and/or online publishing business
- Knowledge of online advertising industry
- Knowledge of/experience in competitive analysis a plus.
- Strong understanding of internet technologies.
